- Serve as a friendly and approachable first point of contact for Vaughan employees with HR related questions.
- Escalate complex or sensitive matters thoughtfully to HR leaders, ensuring employees receive the right level of care and attention.
- Support employee engagement initiatives that strengthen connection, inclusion, and workplace culture at the Vaughan location.
- Assist with new employee onboarding, helping new hires feel welcomed, prepared, and set up for success from day one.
- Collaborate with the HR team on a variety of initiatives and projects, contributing to both day‑to‑day operations and longer‑term improvements.
- Look for opportunities to simplify, improve, and enhance HR processes, tools, and ways of working to better support employees and leaders.
- Provide flexible support across HR activities, stepping in where needed to help the team succeed.
- Create, prepare, and analyze HR reports and presentations that help bring people data to life for the HR team.
- Interpret HR metrics and identify trends that support continuous improvement and thoughtful decision‑making.
- Develop clear, engaging PowerPoint presentations and written communications for HR and leadership audiences.
- Run standard HR reports (such as headcount, turnover, and training completion) using Workday.
- Help maintain and audit accurate, reliable HR data across systems, supporting confidence in reporting and insights.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of HR dashboards, metrics, and trackers.
- Coordinate and support key annual HR processes, including salary review and talent review cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong follow‑through for leaders and employees.
- Support recruitment activities by coordinating job postings, interview schedules, and candidate communications.
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation with care and attention to detail.
- Support new‑hire orientation and ensure required employment paperwork is completed on time.
- Maintain recruitment and onboarding trackers to help deliver a positive and organized candidate experience.
- Organize and support meetings, including agenda preparation, minute‑taking, action tracking, and follow‑up.
- Post‑secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive, relevant experience, preferably within an HR environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with databases and HRIS systems, Workday experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team‑oriented while also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
