Schedule: 4 on, 4 off (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts,12-hours each)YOUR ROLEThe Kruger Kamloops Pulp Mill is recruiting for Entry Level Power Engineer for our Power and Recovery department.This permanent full-time position involves shift work, manual labour and equipment operation.Power and Recovery is responsible for the recovering of chemicals that were used to turn the wood chips into pulp. This department also generates power to support the mill.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESThe Entry Level position offers variety in the work that is performed, including indoor and outdoor work. Common duties include:Equipment operation involving a vacuum truck, forklift, Bobcat, etc.Pre-start checks and operation of equipmentArea clean-upEnsuring processes and equipment run safelyYOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIESDesire to learn, grow and succeedExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong problem solving & analytical skills, excellent judgmentAbility to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;Detail oriented;Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor and professional imageYOUR QUALIFICATIONS4th Class (or higher) Power Engineering CertificationHigh school diploma or equivalentValid Class 5 Driver's License or eligibility to drive in Canada2-3 years experience working in a safety sensitive industrial environmentPrevious related experience an assetWHY WORK AT KRUGER?At Kruger, we believe in giving our employees the space to grow in a dynamic and stimulating environment, to encourage their development, and to enrich their professional lives.
