Job DescriptionOverviewOur Engineering Services team in Winnipeg is a dynamic and tight‑knit, servicing local projects while contributing to large national and international projects as part of distributed virtual project teams. Our projects are varied and span National Defense, Transportation (Rail + Transit, Maintenance Facilities, Ports + Marines, Tunnels), Municipal, Federal (including Defense, Nuclear, Labs), Healthcare, Provincial, Light + Heavy Industrial, and Institutional industries across Canada and the United States.As AtkinsRéalis positions itself for growth in the Manitoba marketplace, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Winnipeg office. You will be trained & mentored by our highly skilled Electrical Engineering Professionals. As a valued member of our team working collaboratively, you will have a passion for Electrical in high-performance buildings of all types. Your technical knowledge of how all electrical components of building systems and site distribution, contribute to building energy efficiency, will set you apart.Your roleThis position will report to a Senior Electrical Engineer who will provide supervision for the electrical design work that includes the following:

Preparation of electrical single line diagrams, AC control schematics, wiring diagrams, connection diagrams, and panel schedules.
Development of cable block diagrams and cable and conduit schedules.
Design of physical layout of electrical equipment, raceway and grounding plans.
Preparation of cable and raceway routing layouts, design and development of electric heat tracing systems.
Arc Flash calculations and label preparation, work on reports, perform site visits, perform breaker programming and relay programming. Experience with SKM or EasyPower is an asset.
Perform some drafting / drawing tasks using AutoCAD. Your primary role will not be drafting.
Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.

About you

Degree in Electrical Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with EGM.
5-7 years’ experience in the electrical engineering consulting. Previous electrical design experience in light or heavy industrial, or commercial projects.
Knowledge and application of the Canadian electrical code.
Experience with AutoCAD. PLC programming is an asset.
Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
