FLO is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Toronto team and be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our electric vehicle charging stations networks. This exciting role will be primarily focused on field related activities including local and remote charging station fault diagnosis, repairs, and resolution. The role will also focus dispatching and managing contractors, performing onsite repairs, supporting existing and new customers with site surveys and installations of new charging products, and supporting factory failure analysis and validation.LOCATION AND REMOTE WORK📍 You must reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), as the customers to be served are in this area.🚗You'll be on the road for the most part.YOUR DAILY RESPONSABILITIES
  • Conduct on-site repairs and preventative maintenance tasks in the Greater Toronto Area;
  • Diagnose component-level failures both remotely and on-site, and identify technical issues for electric vehicle charging equipment in the field;
  • Provide excellent customer service during field visits;
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks for electric vehicle charging equipment;
  • Collaborate in developing procedures to meet various technical requirements;
  • Document processes and generate timely and detailed service reports;
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, handle ordering, shipping, and receiving;
  • Cooperate with internal technical teams and proactively share information within the organization;
  • Act as an ambassador to our customers and partners representing FLO and our charging networks.
ABOUT YOU
  • Bring 1-3 years of customer service and electrical systems experience.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be ready for unrestricted road travel.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes and distribution systems.
  • Showcase your prowess in Microsoft Office and other computer skills.
  • Navigate TCP/IP and Ethernet networks with ease.
  • Uphold health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures proficiently and ensure safety through risk assessment and electrical safety protocols.
  • Master the interpretation of construction and electrical drawings.
  • Apply your field service experience effectively.
  • Bonus points for holding an electrical certification.
  • Comfortable with occasional overnight travel, expenses covered.
  • Thrive in both team and independent work environments.
  • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying 50 pounds independently.
