We work in-office five days a week because great things happen when we're together — creating space for deeper collaboration and stronger relationships with each other and the ecosystem we support.What you’ll be doing:Communitech is hiring for a contract part-time (2 days per week) position as IT Support Specialist. Reporting to the Systems Administrator, you will:Serve as the first point of contact for Helpdesk requests and as such document issues, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate to other team members or request vendor support as necessary.Network administration: Support Cisco Meraki network devices (MX, MR, MS, MV), printers, and other network appliances.Systems administration: Provide L1/L2 support for SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Office 365, and IDaaS solutions, and troubleshoot macOS/MacBook device issues.Provide backup AV equipment support for devices throughout the facility.Assist with management of hardware and software inventory, including provisioning, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.Deliver lifecycle replacements of hardware and appropriate disposal.Identify and support implementation of process improvements.Communicate with the Communitech leadership on technical issues and maintenance schedules, as needed.Work with the Systems Administrator to plan and implement after-hours changes to meet business and operational needs.Prioritize Helpdesk and other technical requests.Other duties as required. All duties subject to change.QualificationsExperience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar technical support role.Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network environments.Experience supporting macOS devices, including MacBooks and common end-user issues.Familiarity with platforms such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 is an asset.Experience with ticketing systems and documenting technical issues clearly and accurately.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfortable supporting AV equipment and general office technology setups.Flexibility to support occasional after-hours work for system changes or maintenance.CompensationThe hourly rate for this role is $30.00-$35.00.
