Who We AreDet’on Cho We Le Dai LP operating as Keskorie Boarding Home is 100% owned by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. We promote a positive and supportive workplace focused on growth, teamwork and the care for our employees and are seeking a full-time Shuttle Driver for the Keskorie Boarding Home. Keskorie is culturally oriented with a friendly work environment that houses people from all over the Territory.What you will doUnder the supervision and direction of the General Manager, the Shuttle Driver is a key team member of the Keskorie Boarding Home who will be instrumental in providing a warm welcome ensuring seamless transitions for our guests. The hours of work are from Monday to Friday, eight (8) hours per day.A Day in the Life
  • Welcoming new clients / patients
  • Drive safely and obey all traffic laws to ensure patients are transported in a safe and timely manner
  • Perform walk-around inspection of vehicle each shift (before start and end of shift)
  • Complete Incident Report when required
  • Complete Daily Pre-Shift Vehicle Inspection Checklist
  • Communicating with Reception on pickups, drop offs and deliveries of patients prescriptions
  • Assist with client’s luggage when required
What You Bring
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience
  • Ability to speak an Aboriginal language and knowledge of culture are definite assets
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and trustworthy
  • Standard First Aid w/CPR, AED
  • Ability to follow company processes, policies and procedures
Job Requirements
  • Class 4 or Class 3 Drivers License
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Updated Immunization Record
  • Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
