- Actively coach staff, supervisors, and hourly workers in leadership behaviors to improve communication and safety activities on the shop floor to achieve a goal of zero incidents.
- Identify, evaluate, and control hazardous conditions and practices using hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards and reduce risks.
- Support the development, review, and update of hazard control programs and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business, providing recommendations for compliance.
- Perform safety evaluations, conduct site self-audits, facilitate safety committees, and manage ergonomics programs.
- A minimum of a BA/BS degree in occupational safety, science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment in a Health & Safety role.
- Proficiency in both French and English communication is a strong asset.
- Professional EHS certification is preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.
