- Deliver, load and offload hardgoods and cylinders containing gas products to customer locations within assigned geographical area.
- Maintain load manifests and all required vehicle documents by ensuring they are accurately completed and reconciled with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
- Establish and maintain good customer relations by listening to and helping resolve customer inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal transport regulations.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections documenting deficiencies; ensures all safety items are in good working order. Report any hazard to Supervisor.
- Perform administrative duties including use of handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment inventory balances.
- Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes is required.
- Minimum of 1 year driving experience with clean driving abstract and training from a recognized driving school or 3 years driving experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to handle and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the gas and/or welding industry an asset.
- WHMIS/TDG certification is an asset.
