- Providing leadership in product development to ensure product integrity and support the development of new products or enhancements to existing ones.
- Participating in the creation of the business plan related to commercial auto product development, including research, industry analysis, and competitive evaluations.
- Collaborating with managers from other departments to ensure process alignment and contribute to the development of underwriting procedures.
- Promoting best practices and underwriting guidelines.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports and product variance reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Participating in the development of analytical tools to improve the ability to identify issues and trends.
- Ensuring knowledge transfer within the team.
- Establishing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships, both internally and externally.
- Reviewing technical skill gaps within the team and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing training and development programs focused on continuous skill improvement.
- University degree or college diploma with 5 to 7 years of experience in commercial automobile underwriting, product management, and business development.
- Experience in product management with accountability for results in the commercial automobile insurance sector.
- Holding a designation such as CIP, FCIP, or CRM.
- Strong business acumen and excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to negotiate with multiple stakeholders: brokers, reinsurers, and clients.
- Creative and innovative mindset with strong strategic problem-solving abilities.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of success.
