
Saskatchewan SECURITY ANALYST Contract

- Location: 100% Onsite - Regina, Saskatchewan
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Proven track record in security operations and incident response within enterprise or government environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing systems
- Incident response processes, threat analysis, and reporting
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Root cause analysis and stakeholder communication during incidents
- Ability to coordinate across multiple teams during security incidents
- Knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, including management-level communications
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+)
- Experience in a public sector or highly regulated environment
- Familiarity with phishing simulation tools and user awareness programs
- Knowledge of Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) processes and governance
- Exposure to ITIL-based service management environments
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Calm under pressure, able to lead during security incidents
- Clear communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactive in identifying security risks and recommending improvements
- Manage the security incident queue in ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to incident response plans
- Analyze and assess the impact of new threats; communicate risk to relevant business units
- Compile operational reports such as Risk Management Decision Items (RMDI) and incident summaries
- Coordinate with CSRMB to plan and execute security awareness campaigns
- Lead or support security incident investigations, including stakeholder engagement and root cause analysis
- Support phishing simulation exercises and track user responses
- Respond to and resolve PAM-related service requests within SLA timelines
- Produce documentation, workflows, and incident reports for CSRMB leadership and executive government
- Duration: 24 months (plus option for 1-year extension)
- Start Date: October 1, 2025 (or as soon as possible following award)
- Location: 100% onsite at a GOS office in Regina, Saskatchewan
