Job Description:The OpportunityCompany, Department: Nova Scotia Power, Information TechnologyLocation: Halifax, Nova ScotiaType of Employment: Regular, Full-TimeClosing Date: September 18,2025We are looking for a WAM Solutions Lead to join our team. The WAM Solution Lead will take ownership of deployed solutions, products, and features to ensure they function as intended, meet business requirements, and deliver expected value. This hands-on role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, supporting, and continuously improving existing solutions after they are implemented, with a particular emphasis on maintaining high data quality and consistency across all boundary systems.
Key elements of this role include:As a WAM Solutions Lead, you will:
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the performance, stability, and effectiveness of assigned solutions post-implementation.
  • Monitor solutions for operational issues; investigate, diagnose, and coordinate timely resolution of problems.
  • Manage and maintain data quality across integrated systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity between boundary systems such as GIS, CIS, OMS, and WAM.
  • Develop, document, and execute data validation routines; identify and resolve data discrepancies and quality issues.
  • Collect and analyze user feedback to identify pain points, data issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage configuration changes to ensure continued alignment with business processes.
  • Document solution workflows, known issues, and support procedures; maintain up-to-date knowledge bases.
  • Train and support end-users on proper use of solutions and data standards.
  • Collaborate with IT, Product, operations, and vendors to coordinate maintenance, updates, data corrections, and enhancements.
  • Provide regular updates on solution and data quality performance, risks, and improvement plans to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure solutions and data processes comply with company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in application support, solution operations, or technical leadership — preferably within the utility, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong experience managing data quality across multiple integrated systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve data inconsistencies between boundary systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with incident management, problem management, change control, and data governance processes.
  • Proficiency with SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, and data quality management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting and managing data for systems like GIS, OMS, CIS, WAM, or enterprise asset management platforms such as IBM Maximo.
  • Experience using Tableau or similar business intelligence tools for data visualization, reporting, and monitoring data quality.
  • Experience with Salesforce object structure and reporting structure.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data stewardship practices, or master data management.
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or data management certifications (e.g., CDMP).
