Project Types: Retail, Commercial, IndustrialAbout the Company:We are a growing Toronto-based General Contractor specializing in retail, commercial, and industrial construction projects throughout Ontario. With a reputation built on quality, accountability, and client satisfaction, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Site Superintendent who is ready to travel and manage job sites across the province.Role Overview:As the Site Superintendent , you will be the on-site leader responsible for ensuring all aspects of the construction project run smoothly—from mobilization through to final occupancy. You will coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety standards, track progress, and ensure work is performed according to plans, budget, and schedule.This is a hands-on leadership role , and the ideal candidate must be comfortable traveling for projects across Ontario , depending on project location and schedule.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily site operations and ensure construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Maintain construction schedule and report progress to Project Manager.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.Enforce site safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Maintain site documentation, including daily reports, site photos, and logs.Manage site logistics, deliveries, inspections, and quality control.Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, consultants, and clients.Ensure compliance with all local building codes, OHSA standards, and company policies.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent, preferably in retail, commercial, or industrial construction .Experience managing fast-paced, multi-trade projects.Willing and able to travel across Ontario and stay near job sites as required.Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, safety, and quality control.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in reading blueprints and construction documents.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.First Aid, Working at Heights, and WHMIS certifications (or willingness to obtain).Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.) is an asset.What We Offer:Competitive compensation packageCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceTravel accommodations and per diemsHealth and dental benefitsLong-term career growth opportunitiesA strong team culture and supportive leadership
