- Support a wide range of projects and activities for Babcock Canada's Facilities and Site Services team, with particular focus on our west-coast locations associated with the British Columbia Helicopter Emergency Medical Services program.
- Serve as the primary onsite Facilities and Site Services representative, acting as the main point of contact for facility-related matters. Building strong relationships with end users will be important, as you work to understand their needs and ensure that outcomes align with their expectations.
- Reporting to the Facilities and Site Services Team Manager, collaborate closely with colleagues across the Facilities and Site Services Team, as well as with other groups throughout Babcock's matrix environment. Working effectively across teams while demonstrating Babcock's core principles will be key to achieving successful results.
- Guide projects through the full project lifecycle-from planning and execution to project close-out. This includes maintaining documentation, managing scope and deliverables, monitoring schedules and budgets, and identifying risks or changes that may impact progress.
- Coordinate onsite work with trades and vendors. This may include preparing statements of work, overseeing activities while they are onsite, acting as the point of contact, and verifying that all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with the expected scope.
- Tackle both practical, hands-on problem-solving tasks and alongside more structured project-management skills. Responsibilities can range from day-to-day operational needs, such as checking supply inventories or installing simple fixtures, to supporting larger facility initiatives and reporting on status to project stakeholders. Note that this role requires the completion of physical tasks, as needed.
- Follow corporate procedures, safety standards, and any project-specific requirements. Maintaining high standards of quality and health and safety-and communicating any concerns promptly-will be essential.
- 3 to 7 years' experience in successfully managing complex multi-stakeholder projects with, with a minimum 4 years of overall Project Management experience.
- A recognized University Degree or College diploma in Project Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or are willing to complete this certification within the first year of employment.
- A valid driver's license.
- A positive, resilient and flexible mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project demands, a willingness to travel (20%,) and a hands-on attitude.
- A practical possession of basic handy person skills is a necessary foundation, though formal training is not required. A background in facilities management or construction projects is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products and familiar with project management software
- Eligibility for an RCMP criminal record check clearance.
