Lead Structural Engineer
Edmonton, AB | Full-Time, On-Site | Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000+ (based on experience level)About the Opportunity
A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join their Edmonton office. This is a fully on-site role ideal for someone with either senior-level experience or someone looking to take the next step into leadership.You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, working on a mix of commercial and industrial building projects, and playing a key role in technical delivery, team support, and client coordination.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structural design and analysis for commercial and industrial projects across Alberta
  • Oversee project lifecycle from initial concept through to completion, ensuring quality and code compliance
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal design teams
  • Review and stamp engineering drawings and reports as required
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and designers
  • Participate in project planning, resourcing, and technical reviews
Qualifications
  • 8-10+ years of structural engineering experience in the building consulting industry
  • P.Eng designation in Alberta (or eligibility to register)
  • Experience working on commercial and/or industrial structural projects
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, standards, and industry practices
  • Proficient in structural design software and modeling tools
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
