Providing advice and guidance to project proponents on assessment strategies and requirements.
Preparing portions of the EIS and/or EA follow-up documentation.
Preparing and/or reviewing CNSC comments and dispositions on the licence amendment.
Providing technical reviews of EIS and other technical documents prepared by a third party.
Preparing responses and materials to support Indigenous engagement activities.
Presenting public and technical project updates to clients, regulators, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders.
Compiling and maintaining WR-1 Project commitments and coordinating, tracking, and reporting their completion.
Analyzing monitoring data generated by follow-up program activities within a set timeframe to confirm environmental assessment predictions and follow up on deviations from forecasts.
Participating in any identified field activities (for example, species at risk surveys, migratory bird assessments, and sample collection).
Providing oversight on project and operational compliance with regulatory requirements by reviewing contractor submittals, performing inspections of the WR-1 site and contractors, and evaluating implementation of the environmental compliance program.

What we are looking for:
Education
Honours Bachelor's in Science, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field from a university of recognized standing or membership in a scientific professional organization authorized by statute, qualification for membership in that organization
Experience
5 years of experience in the following areas will be considered an asset:
Authoring Technical Reports
Presenting information to a variety of audiences, internal and external, including the public and Indigenous communities.
Interacting with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and other Federal Regulatory Agencies.
Understanding and applying regulations to project activities and documents.
Experience in environmental pathway modelling and preparation of environmental assessments is an asset.
Experience in reviewing project plans and documentation for compliance with requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Federal and Manitoba environmental laws and regulations is desired, especially the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act.
Knowledge of Nuclear Safety and Control Act and its regulations.
General knowledge of radioactivity and radioactive waste management practices, as well as a complementary area of expertise (e.g., geology, hydrogeology, biology, chemistry, etc.) to facilitate data analysis.
Awareness of standards, regulatory requirements, and best available methodologies in remediation, characterization, and risk assessment as they pertain to nuclear remediation work.
An understanding of groundwater, effluent, and other types of environmental monitoring.
Familiarity with the environmental aspects of nuclear site operations would be highly desirable.
Experience or interest in Indigenous and stakeholder engagement is highly desirable.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required
Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
We have a compressed work week, which consists of a four-day work week and ten hours a day, starting at 6 am.
May occasionally be required to address urgent operational matters that necessitate overtime or extended working hours to meet requirements.
