My client, an excellent mid-sized accounting firm, is looking for a mature, reliable Accounting Technician with solid accounting knowledge. This is a hands-on role with limited client interaction, ideal for someone who enjoys day-to-day accounting tasks in a structured, supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare payroll slips and T5 slipsFile GST/QST returnsRecord bank statements and perform basic bookkeeping (≈20%)Handle government correspondence (Revenue QC, CRA, other requests)Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate financial recordsWork with trial balances and make adjusting entries to ensure financial statements are accurateAssist in preparing financial statements, preferably using CaseWareRequirements:Previous experience in a firm environment (lower-level accounting roles acceptable)Ability to understand trial balances and adjusting entriesExposure to preparing financial statements is a plusFamiliarity with CaseWare is preferred but not mandatoryMature, responsible, and detail-orientedEducation level is flexible – practical experience is valuedWhy Join This Firm?Stable, well-established mid-sized firmSupportive team environmentOpportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial statement preparationCompetitive salary for the role
