- Develop and assess project labor and material estimates.
- Create electrical equipment specifications and conduct technical bid evaluations for various equipment types.
- Conduct and verify calculations, including short circuit and voltage drop analyses for electrical distribution systems.
- Review vendor drawings and address related issues.
- Offer engineering support during construction phases.
- Manage schedules, estimates, and manpower forecasts.
- Understand electrical design considerations and interdisciplinary interfaces crucial for complex mineral processing facility designs.
- Prioritize HSE, technical assurance, and safety in design.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to diverse audiences.
- Hold a professional engineer registration in Canada.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in an EPC or EPCM setting.
- Preferably have experience in mineral processing; other heavy industrial experience may be considered.
- Ideally have experience with power systems up to high voltage and familiarity with ETAP software.
- Knowledgeable about electrical codes and regulations.
- Demonstrate supervisory experience.
- Proficient in English with strong written and oral communication abilities.
