- Perform daily and month end reporting and reconciliation tasks, such as producing and submitting P&L and P&L decomposition, balance sheet substantiation to subledgers and systems of record, and independent price verification completeness
- Report daily and month-to-date results to CFG desks, compare P&L estimate vs Actual results, explain variances and obtain sign off.
- Provide commentary on large P&L movements to Front Office, Financial Control and Risk on a daily and monthly basis as needed. Monitor all operational and market issues impacting the related products to enhance that commentary
- Develop a good understanding of RBC repo / fixed income based products and system flows
- Build strong and meaningful relationships with team members and business partners (Front Office, Financial Control, Valuations, Risk Management, Operations and IT)
- Act as the primary point of contact for all queries and issues.
- Inform Manager of any irregularities that may present potential exposure to RBC and work closely with all members of the Product Control team, providing guidance and cross training when required
- Prioritize activities and reports, and be able to adjust as needed, so that important team goals and deadlines are met
- Drive continuous improvements to the quality of our service by identifying, recommending, testing and implementing process enhancements and assisting with the onboarding of new products, systems and process flows
- Participate with audit requests both internal and external
- Ensure all procedures are reviewed and up-to-date to enhance our ability to be the best possible business co-pilots
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a Capital Markets environment
- Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, etc.)
- Strong oral / written communication and analytical skills
- An innovative thinker who is proactive, very well organized, detail-oriented and cares about supporting their colleagues and business partners
- Good understanding of interest-rate based financial instruments
- Sound knowledge of reconciliation and attestation processes

- Relevant experience with Product Control functions performed at a financial institution
- Familiar with RBC fixed income based and GL related applications (ex. TOMS, Monaco, Apex, ADP, PEGA, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in VBA and experience in developing, debugging and optimizing VBA code within Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access and Outlook
- Procedure and documentation experience
