Wage: $54.08 / hr (base rate)
o $2.55 Field Premium o Double Time OT o 10% Location Allowance (if local to Chetwynd/Tumbler Ridge)
Shift: 14 x 14 - 15 additional scheduled weeks off a year!
Travel & Accommodation Support: Up to $1,000 travel allowance per rotation (if applicable)

Job Description:As a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Conuma, Tumbler Ridge, you’ll troubleshoot and repair a variety of Caterpillar mining equipment such as haul trucks, graders, shovel and dozers leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on.Your work will include:Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT Equipment in a field environmentInterface with customers, products and sales supportLarge‑scale overhauls and rebuildsComponent replacementsCompleting required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communicationSpecific Skills & ExperienceInterprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/ (HET) CertificationValid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract (5 Yr)5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommendedExperience with 793, 789 and 785 haul trucks, D10 dozers, 395 HEX, 6015 shovels and 224/18/16 Motor GradersComputer literacy along with Finning S-level coursesPrevious repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an assetImportant Information:This is a site position, located at Conuma Resources on a 14 x 14 continuous shift rotation, with a home base of Chetwynd/Tumbler Ridge10% Regional Wage Adjustment Applicable for Employees Living in Area (Travel Allowance and Company Accommodation not applicable)A condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (may include Drug & Alcohol, and Fitness testing)Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
