Job Description:THE ROLE:Robert Half is seeking a hands-on IT Specialist who thrives in both field and office environments. This role is located in Grande Prairie, AB., and travel is required. In this operational role, you'll be the primary technical contact for multiple northern sites, supporting end users, infrastructure, and IT projects that keep field operations running efficiently and securely.Key Responsibilities:

Deliver in-person and remote technical support for desktops, mobile devices, and end users
Configure laptops, handheld devices, and related equipment-including onboarding and offboarding tasks
Manage user accounts and devices across Active Directory, Azure/Entra, Intune, and Office 365
Resolve network, VPN, and general infrastructure issues
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support site upgrades and IT initiatives
Take on a variety of IT tasks and contribute to ongoing operational and project-based work

3-5 years' experience in IT support or infrastructure-focused roles
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service approach
Solid knowledge of Windows environments, Office 365, Active Directory, and Azure/Entra
Working understanding of networking basics, managed switches, and firewalls
Strong troubleshooting ability with a focus on identifying root causes
Comfortable working independently in the field while staying connected to a broader IT team
Valid driver's license and clean abstract
Ability to travel regularly and provide occasional after-hours support

Nice-to-Have Experience

Installing or maintaining security camera systems
Network cabling or wireless infrastructure support
Exposure to HMI/PLC systems or industrial automation environments
