Spend time on the floor to troubleshoot and correct issues to improve processes with automation projects2. Troubleshoot and support production equipment using several common systems (PLC, Vision, and SCADA), or other control platforms as required3. Work with many different aspects of controls, from system definition to design and programming4. Integrate hardware and software solutions for manufacturing5. Define necessary capital controls equipment for projects6. Vision Systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.)7. PLC programing Languages and HMI systems used (Allen Bradley)8. Experience designing and creating electrical printsOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:1. Support daily needs of Production in the event of machine downtime2. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude3. A team-based and creative approach to problem solving4. Experience with interpreting a customer's specification and translating it into design5. Experience with database applications, such as SQL Database is a plus6. Experience with SCADA systems (Ignition) is a plus7. Manage multiple projects/programs at one time8. Demonstrate ability to lead by mentoring and teaching technical teammates, and apprentices as needed9. Lead continuous improvement projects with the engineering teamEducation & Experience:1. High School Diploma2. A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with mechanical aptitude/experience; or a Bachelor's Degree in Controls Engineering with automation training/experience; or 15+ years of experience in Automation/Controls3. At least 3-5 or more years of experience in Automation / Controls Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering with controls experiencePreferred Experience:1. 10+ years of manufacturing controls and integration experience2. Be versatile in multiple platforms or circuitry and programming languages3. Experience with multiple programming software platforms for PLC, Vision, Robotics, and Servo Actuators4. Rockwell Automation integrators certification5.
