About Foundation HealthFoundation Health is a growing, multidisciplinary medical clinic focused on delivering integrated, patient-centered care across primary and specialty services. We are expanding our respiratory and sleep services to better support patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions, sleep disorders, and cardiopulmonary needs.Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our clinical team. The RT will play a key role in supporting patients with respiratory conditions, conducting pulmonary and sleep-related testing, educating patients on respiratory therapies, and collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.This role is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist who enjoys both clinical care and patient education, and who thrives in a collaborative, clinic-based environment.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care & Testing
  • Perform Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) including spirometry, lung volumes, and diffusion studies
  • Conduct sleep diagnostics and CPAP/BiPAP initiation and follow-up
  • Assess and monitor patients with asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, and other respiratory disorders
  • Support oxygen therapy assessments and education
  • Assist physicians with respiratory-related procedures and assessments
Patient Education & Therapy Management
  • Educate patients on inhaler techniques, oxygen use, CPAP compliance, and respiratory care plans
  • Monitor adherence to respiratory therapies and provide follow-up support
  • Develop individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with the care team
Collaboration & Documentation
  • Work closely with family physicians, specialists, and allied health staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
Equipment & Program Support
  • Maintain and calibrate respiratory diagnostic equipment
  • Support inventory management for respiratory and sleep therapy supplies
  • Assist in developing respiratory and sleep programs within the clinic
Qualifications
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Experience with pulmonary function testing and sleep therapy preferred
  • Strong patient education and communication skills
  • Proficient with EMR systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in outpatient or clinic-based respiratory care
  • Sleep apnea testing and CPAP management experience
  • COPD, asthma education, and chronic disease management
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary clinic setting
