- Build strong relationships with employees through communication and performance feedback.
- Assist with payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
- Support training initiatives: update the Training Matrix, identify training gaps, schedule sessions, and track hours.
- Coordinate recruitment: prescreen candidates, schedule interviews, participate when needed, develop interview tools, and maintain the applicant tracking system.
- Create and maintain job descriptions for hourly and salaried roles.
- Attend weekly manning/training meetings and support supervisors with staffing needs.
- Coordinate weekly temporary staffing needs and verify temporary employee hours.
- Coordinate and oversee the performance management process.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports (headcount, employee reports, agency usage, KPIs).
- Organize, maintain, and file HR documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Work in compliance with Quality and EHS Policies, including IATF 16949 / ISO 14001.
- Perform additional HR initiatives and projects as assigned.
- Four‑year degree in Human Resources or equivalent education/experience.
- CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset.
- 2–4 years of HR, recruitment, and payroll experience.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and responsiveness to employee needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- High integrity, dependability, and strong sense of urgency.
- Experience using HRIS or ATS platforms.
- Background supporting training, performance management, or KPI reporting.
- Exposure to manufacturing or plant‑based HR environments.
