About the Company?Our client is a manufacturing company. They are looking for a Controller who will be responsible for financial support and strategic advice to global entities as required. The successful candidate will support, guide, and lead global accounting team members in developing and maintaining effective accounting systems. Responsibilities include general ledger mapping, month-end close processes, accounts payable and receivable management, financial reporting, annual audits, and compliance activities.The role also involves reviewing and analyzing month-end reports, cash flow forecasts, and participating in the budgeting process. You will ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial information is delivered to key stakeholders by leading, coaching, and performing tasks across global accounting and cost systems. Additionally, the position may require involvement in internal control compliance initiatives and tax-related matters, while contributing to ongoing efforts to enhance data integrity and accuracy across the organization.Why Work Here?Work directly with senior leadership teamGreat opportunity for learningOpportunities to travel internationallyWear multiple hats, lots of ad hoc projectsAbout the Opportunity?Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end close processes across multiple global entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.Provide support and oversight to subsidiary accounting teams, including training, process guidance, and performance monitoring.Maintain and improve group-wide accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with IFRS/GAAP standards and internal controls.Collaborate with regional teams to ensure accurate accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries, and to resolve accounting issues.Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure proper eliminations and consolidation entries for global reporting.Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation.Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.Drive improvements in financial systems, data integrity, and reporting efficiency, including ERP optimization and reporting automation.Lead or support initiatives related to internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance.Periodical travel is required to support different regional finance teamsOther responsibilities as required, including special projects as they arise.About You?Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA designation is preferable.10 – 15 + years’ experience in a similar controller capacity, strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, Canada GAAP. Exposure to Europe country’s accounting standards is an asset.Progressive cost accounting experience, with 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, an automotive business is preferable.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Chinese is an asset.Strong ownership, can do attitudeDemonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity and compatibility.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other tools.Able to travel to Canada, USA, Europe and Mexico.Required to have a G level driver’s License.Salary Range?$150,000/year?How to Apply?Click the “Apply Now” button and follow the instructions to submit your resume.
