Veolia Environnement (Paris Euronext: VIE) achieved consolidated sales of 28.508 billion euros in 2021.Job DescriptionReporting to the Project Manager, the General Laborer a variety of work related to the repair and general upkeep of plant(s) grounds and building(s).Primary Responsibilities: * Take care of the grounds using a 100Hp tractor (training can be provided), zero turn ride on lawn mower, push lawn mower and gas trimmer.
  • Performs painting work.
  • Handles, moves and stores furniture, equipment, supplies, materials and tools.
  • Prepares and puts in place the necessary protections and signage during work.
  • Participates in periodic and ad hoc inspections of buildings, equipment and grounds.
  • Participates in the taking of various inventories.
  • Carries out cleaning work.
  • Performs all other related tasks.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with operating a tractor and forklift would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Hold a class 5 driver's license.
  • Interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Good time management, priority setting and ability to manage and resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Autonomous, versatile and organized.
  • Detail-oriented and self-starter.
  • Results-oriented and health and safety conscious.
  • Good physical and manual ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:This is a temporary, full-time position for the summer season. The incumbent of this position must be available during periods of high production and must be able to work under pressure, occasionally.Working schedules are from Monday to Friday, day shifts.
