We take great pride in contributing to the communities where we live with an ever-constant eye to the global investment markets.Reporting to the Director, Performance, Recognition & Total Rewards Analytics, this role will be responsible for managing the vision, strategy, and build of global Recognition & Performance Management initiatives and programs that create a rewarding employee experience and focus on a high-performance culture.Accountabilities:Design, lead, and implement all global performance management processes and programs.Provide thought leadership on divisional scorecards and performance metrics, including individual impact goals, performance ratings, and scales.Own the Team Health Scorecard process, working with HR and business stakeholders to set expectations to deliver on the people and culture outcomes that make OMERS and Oxford a great place to work, and ensure that each team has strong talent in place for the future.Lead the enterprise through annual performance management milestones, including impact goal setting and performance reviews, equipping employees and leaders with tools, resources, processes, and guidance to effectively complete key activities.Partner with HR and business stakeholders to complete analysis on performance management scorecards, team calibration and performance distribution.Lead the CEO Scorecard process and work with the VP, Total Rewards and the CHRO in the development and implementation of the CEO Scorecard, including the governance review and approval processes for the HR Committee and AC Board.Ensure a coherent, comprehensive approach to performance management across OMERS by providing expert consultation on the efficiency of performance management processes including analysis and reporting to the Human Resources Committee of the Board.Own the development of Performance Management systems and technology to align with business priorities and improve technology capability.Partner with the Global Compensation Team to drive strategy and program design based on pay for performance analysis.Lead the Year End process across the enterprise as assigned, including performance management and calibration, and HR Committee governance.Manage stakeholder relations for all Year End initiatives as assigned across the business and HR (HRBPs, COEs, PEX), including project planning, issue management, milestone tracking, reporting and process improvements.Design, lead, and implement all recognition programs globally across OMERS and Oxford including the Spotlight Recognition platform, Milestones program and the OMERS & Oxford awards.Manage all vendor relationships with regards to recognition partners including Workhuman.Build positive relationships across HR and business stakeholders to define strategic priorities and design programs that align to business needs and objectives.Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the business and the HR function.Advocate for innovation and change with ability to positively champion continuous improvement and change management across the enterprise.Provide coaching, guidance, training, and motivation to junior team members.Skills & Experience:Completed post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.7+ years of progressive HR experience including the implementation of HR Programs and initiatives, preferably in a CoE environment.Excellent knowledge of performance management and/or recognition programs.Solid knowledge of change management, stakeholder management, communication planning, scorecards, metrics, and analytics.Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide Recognition and Performance Management program.Excellent time and project management skills with proven organizational and multi-tasking proficiency.Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written, presentation preparation and delivery).Organizational agility, with a high level of comfort in dealing with employees at all levels.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve highly complex matters.Exercises a higher degree of independent judgement to make decisions regarding the interpretation and application of small-scale policies and procedures.Our story:Founded in 1962, OMERS is one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, with $128.6 CAD billion in net assets as of December 31, 2023.
