We expect everyone to take ownership of challenges and act.The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing quality assurance and food safety programs at the plant level. This role ensures that all production processes comply with quality standards and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The QA Specialist plays a key role in driving continuous quality improvement initiatives, training plant employees, and supporting audit readiness.A clear framework that enables you to take ownership:Recognition of years of service for vacation calculation;Flexible group insurance plan including telemedicine services;Employee assistance program;Opportunities to invest in yourself (career development, etc.);Pension plan with company contributions;Salary range 004: $73,000 à $91,200 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)What you will take ownership of on a daily basis:Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of quality and food safety programs (HACCP, GMP, GLP, food safety).Coordinate internal, regulatory, and third‑party audits; ensure compliance, audit readiness, and closure of non‑conformances (CAPA).Analyze quality data (test results, KPIs, IRC) to identify trends and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with production and cross‑functional teams to manage non‑conformances, improve processes, and maintain SOPs and documentation.Oversee product and environmental sampling programs, ensuring data accuracy and proper reporting.Coordinate investigations and follow‑up of customer and supplier complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.Ensure compliance with prerequisite programs (sanitation, pest control, allergen management, raw materials, supply chain).Manage QA operational activities, including raw material and finished goods release, employee training, and certifications.The profile that can truly own the role:Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Quality Assurance within a food manufacturing environment;Solid knowledge of quality systems (HACCP, SQF, or equivalent);Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma (DEC) in Food Science and Technology or another related field;Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.An environment where commitment and accountability are recognized.Agropur welcomes people from all backgrounds and origins.
