The role involves interacting with people across all shifts, actively listening to concerns, and resolving conflicts professionally while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.Successful candidates demonstrate composure, strong observation skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks before they escalate. Clear communication, empathy, and professionalism are essential to ensure all individuals feel respected while adhering to site protocols.Flexibility is essential for this position. Responsibilities for Commercial Security Guard
  • Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors
  • Crowd control and customer service, especially addressing individuals who may gather outside and harass customers.
  • Deter any criminal activity
  • Engage in visible deterrence through their presence and by adhering to security procedures
  • Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches
  • Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
  • Complete Daily reports and Incident Reports.
  • Provide Excellent customer service.
  • Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
  • Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
Qualifications for Commercial Security Guard
  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Manitoba security license
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
