Location: Markham, ON - Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Salary: $38 per hour
Job Type: 12 months, with potential extension based on performance and business needsOur client is seeking a Financial Analyst - FP&A to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong financial acumen, excellent Excel skills, and a core accounting background to contribute to forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis within a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:- Analyze sales, expenses, and other financial data to identify key trends and variances
- Develop and maintain financial models, tools, and reports to support budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor actual vs. forecasted financial performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts by analyzing historical data and trends
- Prepare dashboards and reports for management and cross-functional stakeholders
- Deliver accurate financial reports and assist with ad hoc analysis and special projectsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (mandatory)
- 1-2 years of experience in finance/accounting (FP&A exposure preferred)
- Proven experience in financial analysis and data interpretation
- Proficiency with Excel; ERP systems such as SAP are an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
