You will work as a team with the Department's Manager of Lab & Field Operations to provide essential technical and logistical support for the department’s teaching, research, and administrative functions.You are an energetic and self-motivated problem-solver who can effectively and efficiently serve as a resource to others. You are a "people person" who enjoys working in both a team setting and independently. You accept challenges as opportunities and strive to always meet assigned tasks with care and enthusiasm.QualificationsPost-secondary degree or diploma in Science or Applied Science and Technology from an accredited college or university. 3 years of experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.
  • Strong knowledge and background in geology and/or geosciences.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to periodically work flexible hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Ability to lift, move and/or carry equipment and materials (up to 25 kg).
  • Holds a valid Class V Motor Vehicle License (or BC equivalent).
