This role is ideal for candidates with at least 2+ years of experience in Senior Accounting positions within industry sectors such as distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or similarly aligned operations. You will serve as the right hand to the Controller, playing a pivotal role in creating a positive team culture, streamlining processes, and contributing to impactful projects around process improvements, change management, and reporting enhancements.Whether you're seeking long-term career growth in an evolving leadership team or a stable management position alongside a seasoned senior leader, this opportunity is tailored to driven, ambitious professionals ready to make a difference.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Controller with critical financial planning and execution projects
  • Manage full cycle accounting & month-end processes, accruals, reconciliations, tax compliance, audit preparation, and consolidated financial reporting packages.
  • Actively contribute to financial reporting aligned with ASPE guidelines and support operations & FP& A initiatives as assigned.
  • Assisting in streamlining processes and optimizing day to day tasks for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive change management initiatives to enhance workflow across the team and organization and assisting with implementation of new systems.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team culture while effectively managing competing priorities and projects.
Requirements:Who We're Looking ForWe are seeking candidates who:
  • Hold a CPA designation and minimum 2+ years of experience in a Senior Accounting role or manager position, ideally within industries such as distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or similar.
  • Are highly motivated and proactive, with a "what else can be done better" attitude and the ability to take on tasks with a can-do approach.
  • Are committed to professional development while managing personal and career goals, seeking opportunities for long-term advancement (3+ years for a growth trajectory).
  • Possess strong technical skills in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and tax/audit compliance, as well as experience with process improvement and change management.
  • Preferably have previous management or leadership experience and seek a stable, rewarding position in partnership with senior leadership.
