We’ve been successful in building the systems, processes and partnerships that ensure visibility and compliance with our manufacturing partners, but we’re Nike, and there is no finish line. There’s more to do, and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Director of Traceability Programs who will lead the effort to create responsible & traceable business practices from raw materials to finished goods. You’ll develop programs that build on our traceability and verification capabilities further upstream into the manufacturing supply chain. Your experience in sustainability / traceability and proven experience in developing and driving projects across a large organization will be key in delivering on this important effort. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON You’ll be working to develop, initiate and drive workstreams that move us towards our traceability north star goals. You’ll prioritize the development and implementation of those projects – leveraging internal and external teams. You will provide expertise to deliver innovative solutions and the initiative, drive and agility to amplify processes/systems improvements. You’ll ensure that vendor relationships, performance and communications are managed with clear expectations set and deliverables met. And most certainly, this position will leverage your communication skills to keep project sponsors and stakeholders updated on program status and highlighting issues/opportunities as they develop. WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH The traceability work will have you interacting with teams throughout Responsible Sourcing & Manufacturing (RSM), throughout the company, with our manufacturing partners and with external industry as well. You’ll work with our development teams in footwear, apparel and materials, and will leverage our Responsible Sourcing & Manufacturing (RSM) field teams around the world as well as the partners that manufacture Nike products. There will be a strong link to our tech solutions teams as we build and expand functionality; your leadership will be critical to organizing and prioritizing the work in this space. Here’s what you’ll bring to the game: - Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience - Master’s degree preferred - 7 years professional experience in business or operations - Strong eye for business, superior quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, systems thinking - Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex information in a simple, easily understood to diverse groups of partners - Strong presentation skills - Proven ability to lead collaboration across diverse teams within large organizations and inspire confidence to motivate groups collectively to meet common objectives - Proven ability to interact with all levels, partnering, facilitating, and influencing - Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources - Strong leadership skills demonstrated in Manufacturing and/or Sustainability environment. - Ability to build business plans to support Responsible Sourcing and Manufacturing (RSM) priorities. - Proven understanding of and experience in many facets of sustainable manufacturing operations.
