TalentWorld is recruiting a Maintenance Technician in Airdrie, AB.Are you mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills? If you're looking for a role where you can put your skills to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this could be the opportunity for you!This full-time position offers a chance to play a key role in ensuring equipment uptime, executing preventative maintenance programs, and responding to urgent breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:Perform day-to-day maintenance on production equipment, including canning lines, conveyors, VFD pumps, forklifts, boilers, pasteurizers, skid wrappers, and labelling/packaging machines.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues across automation and control systems (HMI, lot code printer, case taper, carbonation equipment).
Manage third-party technicians for specialized repairs and coordinate service needs.
Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and incident records; report near-misses.
Provide operator coverage as needed on the production line.
Support safe, clean, and efficient operations by adhering to company safety and GMP standards.Maintenance Technician Qualifications:2+ years of experience with high-speed industrial food or beverage-processing equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
General “handyman” skills, with welding/fabrication experience considered an asset.
Low-pressure boiler experience is an asset.
Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, and BRC standards is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team.
Availability Monday-Friday with occasional overtime and weekend work.Employment Details:Full-time, Permanent
