Job Opening: Assistant Project ManagerWe are seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team, tasked with overseeing various construction projects to ensure they align with engineering standards, budgetary constraints, and comprehensive reporting requirements. This role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, tailored to meet the specific demands and priorities of each project we undertake.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, organization, coordination, and oversight of assigned projects, adhering to the company's established policies, procedures, and standards. This includes the approval of initial project plans, equipment timelines, financial forecasts, and regular project updates.
  • Generate and disseminate essential documentation regularly, such as financial summaries, budget versus actual cost analyses, meeting records, and production updates, to maintain precise project tracking and management.
  • Engage in the drafting of trade work scopes, and actively participate in the selection and negotiation processes with subcontractors.
  • Manage and coordinate surveying activities, ensuring accurate project layouts and as-built documentation, while fostering collaborative planning sessions with survey teams to establish robust project controls.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, design teams, and labor unions, ensuring effective communication and contract adherence.
  • Oversee project financials, including cost tracking, revenue monitoring, and budget adherence, while providing leadership in planning, scheduling, and project architectural/engineering controls.
  • Keep accurate records of material deliveries, changes in orders, and other factors that may influence project timelines and budgets, ensuring all related documents are prepared and maintained meticulously.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections to preemptively identify and address any potential safety, layout, or compliance issues, and actively participate in safety planning and implementation.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed, which may encompass invoice preparation, contract drawing interpretations, subcontractor scheduling, and progress photography.
  • Uphold stringent Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards throughout all project phases.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in software such as Word, Excel, Autodesk Build, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and various cost management systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time effectively.
