- Create daily production schedules for formulations and packaging based on demands in SAP for saleable finished goods and availability of all key AI's and raw materials.
- Review monthly supply requirements and ensure that short and long range plans meet requirements.
- Identify and resolve capacity constraints between shared resources. Develop solutions to bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Review MRP generated requirements for lower level materials and create purchase orders for delivery of materials to support the production plan. Work to resolve supply issues and lead time problems that affect the production plan.
- Provide forecast information to purchasing for monthly supplier schedules.
- Monitor production performance against plan and adjust production schedules as necessary.
- Monitor regulatory changes to all lower level components and ensure that all materials used in production are in compliance.
- Manage inventory of lower-level components including physical inventories and reconciliations to achieve high accuracy of inventory data. Accountable for cycle count accuracy.
- Maintain all production planning master data in SAP such as material masters, BOM's, routings and work centers.
- Analyzes standard vs. actual consumptions to minimize variances and maintain consumptions within standard limits (25%).
- Production targets and customer needs met.
- Clear accurate communications of real time production status and plan changes to stakeholders via SAP and other related meetings such as ROPs /New Product Intros/ Rough Cut Capacity.
- Develops networks with Syngenta stakeholders and with key suppliers.
- Understands flexibility and responsiveness of production at St. Gabriel Plant.
- Must prioritize and modify production schedules and ensure material deliveries in the face of changing markets and customer demands.
- Collaborate with the Greensboro Planning group to follow standardized planning processes and procedures.
- Utilize and improve harmonized communication processes for Asset Planners managing production schedules.
- MRP III philosophy and principles.
- Computer proficiency including SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- Verbal communication skills.
- Strategic and tactical thinking.
- Minimum high school diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred.
