- Job Description
- Act as a Project Engineer and/or discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects
- Coordinate the technical aspects of projects with the client, and other disciplines and stakeholders involved
- Develop solutions to guide work teams
- Carry out the design for sewer and water main networks, roadways, and site development
- Write study reports
- Prepare drawings and specifications, as well as cost estimates
- Ensure work monitoring management and supervise on-site technicians
- Ensure the administrative management of the various projects (budget, amendment, and schedule management)
- Guide and support junior engineers in their daily tasks
- Support the office director in carrying out market development activities
- Participate in the drafting of proposals
- Facilitate and lead meetings with clients
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or an equivalent
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- At least five years of experience (ideally eight) in municipal infrastructure in Canada
- Ability for teamwork
- Initiative and proactive attitude
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Facility establishing relationships with clients and contributors
- Ability to manage simultaneous priorities on several projects
- Thoroughness, attention to detail and design quality
- Interest for the integration of best practices in terms of sustainability
- Up-to-date knowledge of innovations
- Experience designing and delivering projects for the City of Laval and/or the City of Montreal
- Knowledge of PCSWMM, Civil3D and AutoCAD software
