In this role you will need to be excellent in converting technical engineering notes into customer-facing, quality documents that provide extensive context description, block and network diagrams and handholding to wrap the technical content in an easily understandable content that can be communicated to the customer (Managed Service Provider) and their end users.You will be the link between all Wazo departments regarding documentation for our customers and the nomenclature and labeling standard of our platforms.You will need to be organized and structured in order to follow and track all the release cycles of our products and your work will be a deliverable of these release cycles.We will count on you to establish quality standards for the documentation that we publish.You will have the opportunity to take the ownership of the customer documentation and establish your own structure and standards.This is a remote position, ideally located on the North American East Coast.What You'll Do?
  • Manage the documentation and technical content;
  • Structure and organize all of technical content resources;
  • Write clear and concise technical texts in English as the source text and leverage AI copilots such as Bing Chat to translate it into any required languages, starting with French.
  • Plan and manage the creation, edition and evolution of all documentation;
  • Build a documentation structure to ease the access for our customers;
  • Work with the client-facing teams to build and improve our documentation;
  • Liaise with Product Management, Development and Marketing teams about upcoming features and updates. Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and understand technical information;
  • Prioritize documentation improvements and additions;
  • Contribute to or lead strategic documentation initiatives;
  • Actively seek technical content feedback from internal staff and customers;
  • Measure the quality of our knowledge base and act on it;
  • Ensure that the documentation is consistent with the company branding and technical documentation industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.;
  • Participate in the labeling of fields and text on UX and UI mock-up to target the standardization of the naming and to make the platform consistent on all apps;
  • Develop and validate all the texts required for any messaging on the platform;
  • Collect and analyze user feedback to enhance documentation and address common user issues.
What You'll Need to Succeed?

  • You have the ability to put yourself in the customer’ shoes so that documentation is targeted for them;
  • You are able to follow every release cycle and produce documentation at the appropriate time;
  • You have the skills to develop documentation standards in order to unify what we publish;
  • You have the ability to play a role in determining and standardizing the nomenclature on our platforms;
  • You are good to build strong, trusting relationships.
What Experience and Skills are Required?
  • Native English-speaker/writer. Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as English, Technical Communication, or a related discipline;
  • Prior experience in the Telecommunications, VoIP, Unified Communications and Collaboration, UCaaS industries preferred;
  • Strong writing and editing skills with excellent grammar and punctuation;
  • Proficiency in using document creation and management tools;
  • Familiarity with technical terminology, processes, and concepts;
  • Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams;
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of telecommunication industry-specific regulations and standards is an asset;
  • Experience with version control and content management systems (CMS) is a plus;
  • Graphic design skills for creating visual aids (e.g., diagrams, illustrations) can be an advantage;
  • Adaptability to learn and use new tools and technologies as needed;
  • Knowledge of programming languages and coding for software documentation is a plus;
