We focus on delivering value to our clients and our people by anchoring on measurable outcomes throughout all stages of our engagements. We take a holistic approach to our engagements, collaborating with our broader practices, including Digital Strategy, UX Design, Change Management, Data Engineering, Cyber Security and App Dev to ensure our clients our well served across their people, process and technology needs. We are a team of passionate and experienced Salesforce leaders, architects and consultants looking to expand our team with likeminded practitioners.BDO Digital is currently seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to join our growing Salesforce practice. The individual will own the following responsibilities:
  • Architecting enterprise-level business solutions and leading team members in design, development, dev ops and quality assurance on Salesforce projects
  • Designing and delivering large cross-cloud Salesforce implementations, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Industry Clouds (Data Cloud & Einstein experience is a plus)
  • Managing the technical delivery of Salesforce data model design, declarative configuration, custom development, security design, dev ops, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation
  • Developing & enforcing technical direction, standards and templates including architectural design blueprints, development best practices, dev ops and documentation standards
  • Collaborating with other BDO practices and client technical counterparts to provide guidance on enterprise architecture discussions
  • Managing key technical client relationships across delivery programs
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to grow their technical skills on the Salesforce platform
  • Collaborating with clients and functional teams to understand business requirements and translate to technical designs
  • Supporting pre-sales activities and working with prospects to understand business requirements, creating high level designs, driving effort estimations and supporting proposals and client presentations
  • Staying informed of the latest Salesforce product releases leading the practice learning & development strategies

Your skills and experience
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on Salesforce design and development across core clouds (Sales, Service, Experience and Industry Clouds)
  • Expert in Salesforce configuration and development across declarative configurations, APEX, Visualforce and Lightning Web Components
  • Expert in Salesforce data model design and key design trade-offs (i.e., performance, security etc.)
  • Expert in Salesforce development standards, best practices, dev ops, testing and release strategies
  • Expert in Salesforce integration patterns, integration to third party systems, data management strategies and data migration processes
  • Expert in Salesforce security design and configurations
  • Expert in leading complex multi-cloud Salesforce engagements
  • Experience supporting enterprise architecture discussions beyond Salesforce including security, integration patterns, analytics, data governance and AI enablement
  • Excel at bridging between business and technical audiences and translating business requirements to technical details and vice-versa
  • Experience supporting technical pre-sales
  • Previous people management experience with strong leadership and mentorship skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for internal/external purposes
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners and team members
Education and certifications
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Engineering etc.) preferred
  • Salesforce System and Application Architect certifications preferred
