This is a great entry level position to transition into the purchasing group in future.Key Responsibilities and Duties:● Analyze reports to see supplier orders that are coming due● Work with Vendor Portal to ensure all vendors are checking their schedules● Collect information from Vendor Portal on firm ship dates and enter into the system● Contact outside vendors to ensure orders will ship on time. Any orders that are delayed need to be explained● Track all incoming shipments to get ETA and ensure properly received when here● Inventory accuracy and investigation of discrepancies● Create and maintain priority lists● Keep production and management advised of all shortages and late shipments● Quickly and accurately respond to e-mailsJob Requirements● High School or equivalent. Post-secondary education is an asset Three (3) to five (5) years of experience preferred● Experience in an MRP based production environment is a definite asset● Good understanding of manufacturing processes● Previous experience in production coordinating● Previous experience working with inventory is an asset● Knowledge of farm equipment is preferred or other large moving equipment● Excellent customer service skills with clear communication● Ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment● Comfortable using Microsoft Office. Experience with AS400 is a definite asset or other ERP system
