Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Etobicoke, as the CR Lead Hand :
  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all applicable health and safety regulations and company rules and policies
  • Ensure that all new employees receive appropriate safety orientation before starting work
  • Direct the work of staff while maintaining and complying with all company standards, procedures and production requirements.
  • Ensure that all production is maximized to achieve production objectives.
  • Communicating instructions from the Plant supervisors to staff in a safe, constructive, positive manner.
  • Complete all documentation related to the activities of the assigned area, including but not limited to equipment downtime reports and daily production reports and daily observation reports (DSI's).
  • Responsible for ensuring that equipment inspections are conducted daily.
  • Responsible for cooperation with other team leaders and departments to cope with day-to-day operational requirements. This may include sharing staff, equipment, and other resources from the department.
  • Ensure all daily housekeeping tasks in the assigned area are completed.
  • Identify and report any maintenance and/or repairs needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all required preventive maintenance reports are completed daily.
  • Able to operate all the necessary equipment required for the execution of tasks in the plant.
  • Train and motivate staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for proper documentation and reporting of personnel issues and incidents to the plant supervisor. Attend disciplinary meetings as required.
  • Hold at least one documented meeting per month with staff
  • Submit a detailed daily report on the teams to the plant supervisor.
  • Must be available to work weekends and be punctual
