Job DescriptionSite SuperintendentType: In-Person | Full-TimeAbout the OpportunityExecutrade is proud to partner with a long-standing client in the construction industry to recruit an experienced Site Superintendent. This role is ideal for a driven professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality commercial construction projects in a safe, efficient, and collaborative environment.Reporting to the HSE & Field Manager, the Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects from initiation through to successful completion. You will lead and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Site Superintendent, you will:
  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project timelines.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, proactively addressing delays or challenges.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders to identify and resolve conflicts early.
  • Ensure all work aligns with project specifications, applicable codes, and established quality standards.
  • Act as the primary on-site liaison with clients, consultants, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Conduct site safety orientations, daily inspections, and weekly safety meetings to uphold OHS and company safety programs.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and progress updates.
  • Coordinate material procurement, site logistics, inspections, and off-site utilities with relevant authorities.
  • Establish and maintain site office setup, equipment, and operational readiness.
  • Enforce Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes in collaboration with testing agencies and consultants.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve site issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to project team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and overall project delivery.
QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you bring:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent, managing commercial and/or light industrial construction projects.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects from start to completion, on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing diverse site teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
