As a Health & Safety Coordinator you'll play a hands-on role in keeping our people safe across our Niagara area sites.Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager, you'll support the implementation and ongoing improvement of our Safety Management System (SMS). You'll work closely with site teams, supervisors, and Joint Health & Safety Committees (JHSCs) to ensure compliance, lead by example in the field, and help foster a strong, proactive safety culture.This position is based out of our Niagara Falls office, with regular travel to local work sites.Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 (based on experience and qualifications)What You'll Be DoingIn this dynamic, field-focused role, you'll be a key partner in driving safety excellence across our operations:
  • Support day-to-day compliance with applicable legislation, company policies, and SMS standards
  • Assist in developing site-specific Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deliver training to employees
  • Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and participate in incident investigations
  • Maintain accurate safety records and submit reports using eCompliance (forms, checklists, field observations)
  • Participate in JHSC meetings and provide technical support for safety initiatives
  • Work alongside Supervisors and Managers to implement immediate corrective actions and practical field solutions
  • Contribute to Safety Alerts and internal communications with real-world, field-driven insights
  • Prepare and track weekly KPI updates for the Health & Safety Manager
