Qualifications/Requirements of PositionThe ideal candidate will have advanced training in epidemiology or related discipline (e.g. biostatistics) and could provide evidence of the application of spatial analysis in health research. Preferred candidates will have research expertise in environmental epidemiology, be a strong communicator (writer) and be an organized project manager.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will participate in all activities related to the project, including:· Analysis of data, including data management and linkage· Organization of meetings, workshops and seminars· Preparing academic publications and research reportsEducation and ExperienceThe successful PDF candidate must possess:· Completed (or ABD) a PhD (or equivalent) completed in the last 5 years in a related field such as epidemiology, biostatistics, health geography· Demonstrated experience with quantitative methods, and ideally analysis using R and related spatial analysis software (ArcPro, QGIS)· Exceptional oral and written communication in English, with a clear emerging track record of peer-reviewed publication· Excellent organizational, time and project management skillsApplication ProcessA complete submission must include:· A cover letter, including statement of research interests and description of the relationship between qualifications and project objective· A recent curriculum vitae (CV)· A writing sample (ideally peer-reviewed publication)· Names and email addresses of two refereesThe PDF must be willing to apply (if eligible) for Postdoctoral fellowship programs and will be supported in developing applications as necessary.
Salary Range/Pay Rate $65,000 (CDN) + benefits, conference travel and holidays
