  • PhD or other doctorate; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter
  • Evidence of funding or application for research/project funding
  • Established program of scholarship/research;
  • Evidence of dissemination of research and scholarship through peer-reviewed publications and conferences
  • Holds a minimum of one (1) degree in nursing;
  • Five (5) years full-time or equivalent hours of nursing experience;
  • Evidence of continuous learning in the field of expertise;
  • Experience teaching theory and clinical practice;
  • Experience with simulation learning environments is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system;
  • Current BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions, or eligibility for registration with BCCNM before appointment;
  • Preference will be given to applicants with advanced education or practice in mental health, maternity, or community health.
