
Senior Product Manager, Direct Lending

- Create and maintain a strategic product portfolio and product roadmaps both in areas of features and pricing, but also digital journey and distribution of our products
- Assess the market and competitive landscape, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives in a rapidly changing and highly competitive marketplace
- Designs the customer’s experience of the product as well as its value proposition
- Work collaboratively with the businesses to diagnose business problems
- Adept at process mapping, data collection and analysis through the entire customer journey and product lifecycle
- Works with Product Owners to ensure vision is well captured in development user stories
- Self-starter, who loves thinking, brainstorming and driving execution
- Multi-tasking, working on several product enhancements which are often unrelated to one-another, simultaneously
- Follow the discipline and rigor of the Fairstone Product Development governance framework
- Highly customer-focused, centering the portfolio around customer needs
- University or College degree in technology, design or business-related fields
- Experience in financial services, and more specifically lending products
- Demonstrated experience as a Sr product manager with 3-5 years experience (and/or considerable industry expertise)
- 3+ years experience leading medium to large projects that delivered a high level of value (benefit/cost) with a high level of complexity and uncertainty
- Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) technical knowledge and experience, or comparable experience an asset
- Experience working with technology partners – especially in digital interfaces and user experiences
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent at managing conflicting priorities
- Ability to lead through influence
- Bilingual (English/French) required — approximately 70% of the role involves communication in English with teams and branches nationwide.
