
Truck Driver Class 1

- Upon completion of your probation, this rate is increased to $28.84/hr

- Day shift, 40 hours/week
- Flexible early departure (ie: 4:00, 5:00, 6:00)
- Full-time, permanent position
- Operating class 1 commercial vehicle to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
- Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Performing manual tarping if necessary
- Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
- Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation
- Follow safety and driving regulations at all times
- Provide excellent customer service
- You have a valid class 1 FM driver's license with a clean Driving Record
- You have experience operating a manual transmission (required)
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a class 1 truck driver
- You are customer service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- You have good physical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as required.
- You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
- You have experience with roll-off trucks (an asset)
- You are physically fit and safety-oriented
- You are reliable, punctual, and respectful of equipment
