- Participate in economic and technical feasibility studies for oil & gas facility and pipeline projects, as well as detailed planning and design;
- Prepare and implement specifications, cost estimations, equipment scope and deliverables in accordance with project requirements;
- Assist in problem solving that arises during project or assignment execution;
- Prepare, interpret or review calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, systems or equipment with increasing levels of complexity;
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our engineering tools, processes and standards;
- Work with drafting staff to prepare and interpret schematic, process and equipment drawings, layouts and other deliverables;
- Perform review and evaluation of equipment vendor data and drawings and coordinate with supplier and client personnel;
- Prepare regulatory submissions for facility projects to the AER, ABSA and other bodies as required; and
- Coordinate material and equipment procurement and scheduling with vendor and field personnel during construction phases.
- Engineering degree from an accredited university with 3 to 10 years relevant experience;
- Registration as a Member in Training or Professional Engineer with APEGA;
- Previous comparable EPCM experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal design codes and safety laws;
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and suppliers;
- Working knowledge of engineering computer programs, work planning and control methods;
- Ability to work and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment;
- Travel as required to ensure the successful execution of projects; and
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
