- Serve as primary contact with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities on all assigned projects.
- Organize and lead contract negotiations.
- Develop schedules, budget, and forecast resources for the Interior Design team.
- Perform quality control for all project presentation outputs and documentation.
- Write specifications covering interior design matters, including performance of code reviews.
- Conceptualize and design complex projects from pre-design through construction documents and contract administration phases
- Work directly and effectively with vendors and contractors
- Lead, coach, and mentor junior and intermediate interiors team members.
- Interior Design degree or diploma from an accredited program.
- NCIDQ certification (or working towards it) would be considered an asset
- Minimum of 10+ years of interior design experience across a broad range of project types.
- Exceptional knowledge in design
- Exceptional design and graphics skills.
- Self-motivated; ability to manage time well and work efficiently towards deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring design team members
- Working knowledge of Canadian and International Building Codes.
- Proficiency with design and procurement of interior specification grade finishes, FF&E and lighting
- Experience producing contract documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Working knowledge of Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, and/or other design-related software.
- Experience with wayfinding is an asset
