- Work together with internal and external staff and equipment suppliers to conduct performance testing of wastewater treatment pilot plants at different operating conditions
- Conduct regular operation/maintenance tasks of the pilot plant equipment such as condition checks, chemical refill, lubricate equipment, equipment cleaning, instrument cleaning and calibration, etc.
- Collection and preparation of samples for lab test
- Conduct bench testing of water samples
- Coordinate with pilot plant suppliers to adjust pilot plant operation parameters
- Coordinate with pilot plant suppliers and Client O&M staff to carry out maintenance work for the plant
- Work together with other team members to troubleshoot problems encountered during operation of the pilot plants such as clearing blockages at valves
- Download and distribute operation data from pilot plant PLC
- BA/BS in Chemical or Civil engineering or a combination of education and 6+ years of related experience in Wastewater treatment operations
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
- Ability to be registered as a P.Eng with EGBC within 6 months
- EOCP Certification in Wastewater Treatment
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to act calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role (lifting 50 lbs, standing, kneeling, climbing, confined space entry, etc.)
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and safe work procedures
