
Senior Geotechnical Project Manager

- Job Description
- Conduct and supervise the completion of complete geotechnical studies from planning to report writing, including surveys, drilling, laboratory tests, as well as design recommendations
- Inspect, assess the safety and bring concrete and earth dams up to standard
- Participate in studies on tunnels and the stability of rock walls, including discontinuity surveys and potential landslide plans using a drone
- Coordinate studies, engineering, field work, subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare tender documents to respond to interdepartmental or public service offers
- Supported by experienced draftsmen, prepare plans and specifications for earthworks, slope stabilization, bank protection, etc.
- Supervise, supervise, train and guide the work of CPI or interns
- Participate in the development of the team
- Profile
- University degree in civil or geological engineering and specialization in geotechnics
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in geotechnics
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Knowledge of specialized software in the field of geotechnics.
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams composed mainly of geotechnical and geological engineers and environmental specialists
- Experience or master's degree in hydrogeology or rock mechanics or soil dynamics or permafrost would be an asset
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written, is required for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our clients, partners and cross-sector staff at the national level.
- Strong ability to work simultaneously on various projects
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to ensure effective communication with clients on the progress of work
- Project management skills and experience to ensure compliance with budgets, established deadlines and administrative monitoring of files.
